The Personal Data We Collect
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:
Identity Data includes first name, last name and the name of your organisation.
Contact Data includes email address and telephone numbers.
Enquiry Data includes the content of any enquiry or correspondence you send us through our website contact form, by email or otherwise.
Client and Billing Data (for engaged clients) includes billing and invoicing details, and personal data shared with us during an engagement, such as the names, roles and contact details of individuals involved in the work, including colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
Meeting Data includes your name, professional information and the content of meetings or calls, where notes or records are made.
Signature Data includes your name, email address and electronic signature, captured when agreements are signed electronically.
We also may collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data which is not personal data as it does not directly (or indirectly) reveal your identity. For example, we may look at overall website statistics, such as the percentage of visitors who view a particular page, to understand general trends and improve our website and services.
How We Collect Personal Data

Lawful Basis for Processing
Contract and Pre-Contract Steps: where necessary to respond to your enquiries, understand your requirements and deliver our services under a signed engagement.
Legitimate Interests: to operate and improve our business, manage client relationships, maintain records and facilitate introductions to relevant third parties, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal and Regulatory Obligations: to comply with tax, accounting, audit and record-keeping requirements, including obligations to HMRC and Companies House
Who We May Share Your Personal Data With
We may share your personal data, where necessary and appropriate, with third parties relevant to your enquiry or the services you request. These typically include: our IT and cloud service providers (which host our email, files, website and related tools); our accountant; our electronic signature and meeting-notes providers; our registered office and mail-forwarding provider; our professional advisers, such as our legal advisers and insurers; and HMRC, Companies House and other authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Where we introduce you to a third-party provider, that organisation will usually act as a separate controller of your personal data and will process it in accordance with its own privacy notice.
International Transfers
Your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries outside the UK. We primarily store and process personal data in the UK and European Economic Area, and we choose UK or European data locations where our providers allow us to. Where personal data is processed outside the UK or EEA, for example by some of our software providers, or by suppliers involved in an engagement, we rely on those providers and suppliers handling it under appropriate safeguards and their own data protection terms. Marketing Communications
We respond to enquiries and follow up naturally on proposals and live discussions. Occasionally, where you have previously enquired about our services, we may contact you about a new or related service that may be relevant to you. These communications are sent on a legitimate interests basis and you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing richard@trusure.uk
Opting out will not affect essential service communications.
Cookies
Our website is built on Squarespace and uses two types of cookie.
Necessary cookies are always active and are required for the website to function securely.
Analytics and performance cookies are used only after you accept them through our cookie banner. Where you accept these cookies, our website collects information to help us understand how visitors use the site. This may include information about your browser, network and device, the pages you visited before arriving at our site, your IP address, and details of how you use the site such as pages visited, clicks, scrolling, searches and timestamps. This information is processed by Squarespace, our hosting and analytics provider, so that we can understand site traffic and activity.
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or manage your choices. Necessary cookies are always on; analytics and performance cookies are off unless you choose to turn them on. You can change your choices at any time through the banner.

Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to: request access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; request erasure in certain circumstances; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; withdraw consent; and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

We aim to respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary, including to provide our services, meet legal and regulatory requirements, and handle disputes. Enquiries that don’t lead to an engagement are kept for up to 12 months. In most cases, we retain client and accounting records for at least 6 years after the end of the client relationship, or longer where required.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, misuse, loss or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We have procedures in place to deal with suspected personal data breaches and will notify you and any applicable regulator where legally required.
If You Do Not Provide Personal Data
If you do not provide personal data that is necessary for us to respond to your enquiry, scope a potential engagement or deliver our services, we may be unable to provide some or all of our services.
